Agamben’s “Form of Life” proposes that the truly political life is one in which living is inseparable from its form — where there is no life that can be abstracted from the particular mode in which it is lived. This stands against the biopolitical logic that reduces living to bare biological life susceptible to sovereign power. OM cites this concept as a philosophical anchor for the underground’s insistence on aesthetic and epistemic self-determination: the protocol underground’s commitment to modes of experience that resist abstraction into compliance or consumption is, in Agamben’s terms, a defense of form-of-life against bare life.
